The dazzling figure had a likeness of a person. Its head shined like 'gold' and its appearance 'white' as snow. Shaken by what I saw, I turned away. When I did, I saw myself peacefully sleeping in my bed.

Suddenly, I began to think about my loved ones. Once I did, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace. The peaceful feeling was so strong, that I begin to wonder if I actually died in my sleep and gone to Heaven.

When I turned to look again, I reached out to the person. When I did, I found myself back in my body. I was physically laying in my bed with my eyes open, as if I had just awaken from a good night sleep.

But it didn't start there...

Several weeks prior to the incident, I became increasingly restless. I could not relax. My heart would race up and down as if I was I having a heart attack. I went to the hospital and the doctor performed an EKG. He said there was nothing medically wrong with me. It might be anxiety.

And it didn't stop there...

My restlessness continued for several more days following my hospital visit. Finally, I decided to take a relaxing walk to take my mind off of things. I went to my favorite walking trail, where I frequently visit at least three times a week.

When I finished my initial walk, I was suddenly compiled to walk around the trail seven more times. It was as if GOD was speaking to me. I wanted to stop walking, but something was encouraging me on.

Once I finally stop walking, I sat down to rest on an above ground manhole near its large public lake.

Suddenly, I began to cough. On the seventh cough, I felt something going down my throat. It felt as if I was swallowing a large piece of thread. Then something amazing happened! While my mouth was held in the open position, I saw a dark object depart out of my mouth.

When the dark object left my mouth, I saw it enter into the month of a fish that suddenly appeared near the surface of the lake. I can't give an earthly explanation as to what happened that day, but for seven years I prayed to Holy God (in Jesus name) to deliver me from my nicotine addiction.

For seven years I tried going cold turkey. I can remember telling my family many times that I quit, but I was not being trueful to them. It was clear, I willingly became a slave to cigarettes for seventeen years.

But no more...

Jehovah Rapha passed my way that day and 'supernaturally' healed me. During the seven years of praying, I had to learn endurance and patience, like a good soldier in Christ. GOD wanted me to experience the Cross, not just know about it.

So in defense...

On October 1, 1987 I accepted God's Gift of Redemption. I acknowledge my place in Christ. I died as Jesus did; I was buried, then resurrected with his Holy spirit. The old spirit self is replaced. Now I have a relationship with Holy God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. ( 2 Corinthians 3:16 )

Through this trial and countless others, God the Father has assured me of my place in heaven. ( Romans 8:37 )
